About the position

The Vice President - Enterprise Insights at Novo Nordisk is responsible for leading the Enterprise Insights function, which serves as the center of excellence for strategic and tactical guidance within the organization. This role involves overseeing multiple business unit-aligned insights teams and collaborating with key stakeholders across the Executive Team, sales, marketing, and finance to ensure alignment and effective decision-making. The position focuses on generating actionable insights, driving data-driven initiatives, and supporting the company's strategic and commercial plans.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Enterprise Insights function, providing strategic and tactical guidance to drive evidence-based decision making.
  • Oversee multiple business unit-aligned insights teams and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the Executive Team and leadership teams regarding insight development and consumption.
  • Generate actionable data and insights tailored to the needs of business functions and therapeutic areas.
  • Implement robust measurement frameworks to track the value generated by data-driven initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and Global Marketing to improve insight development and delivery.
  • Direct the Insight Leads and provide guidance on methodologies and processes.
  • Evaluate customer-facing size and structure for commercial teams and make recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Manage strategic market intelligence efforts, including competitive intelligence and market landscaping.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and advanced degree (MBA or scientific degree) required.
  • At least 15 years of progressive business analysis and services experience within the Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Prior leadership experience managing large teams (40+).
  • Strong knowledge of Pharmaceutical Market Research Information sources.
  • Experience with management of outside vendors and marketing research methods preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving performance and achieving results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • International marketing/commercial effectiveness experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with competitive intelligence and patient support programs.
