About the position

The Vice President, Business Planning and Analysis Manager II at BNY Mellon is responsible for delivering and implementing complex global operating models through project management and business analysis. This role requires analytical expertise to support project objectives, manage risks, and ensure quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle. The position involves facilitating meetings, producing reports, and maintaining communication with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers and implements complex global operating models in a multi-phased manner.
  • Provides analytical expertise and problem solving in support of project objectives and timelines.
  • Gathers and analyzes information to assist in development of recommendations to address Client and Business objectives.
  • Identifies and manages goals, risks, issues and resources, ensuring QA process is applied throughout each project/service lifecycle.
  • Facilitates project meetings and workshops with External Clients and Internal Stakeholders.
  • Produces informational and decision-seeking reports, analyses, and presents outputs for sign off.
  • Monitors project process, risks, and issues through weekly reports and project plans.
  • Escalates issues that will significantly impact project delivery to relevant parties.
  • Assists more junior roles with issue resolution and manages project post-implementation reviews.
  • Communicates effectively and frequently with Project Initiators, Technology, Operations, and/or the Client.
  • Delivers complex internal and external projects or parts of larger projects.
  • Provides clear direction and leadership to staff managed during a project.
  • Organizes resources for project workshops in line with business and project needs.
  • Ensures quality controls are put in place in project plans and change control processes are implemented.
  • Monitors and reports on progress of projects and evaluates potential risks and issues.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of total work experience preferred.
  • Governance, Project Management, or experience within one or more of the asset servicing functions is preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of Project Management and Business Analysis.
  • Competent with all aspects of Microsoft Office and MS Project.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Middle Office functional and product knowledge preferred, including industry OMS flows and trade capture processes.
  • Ability to deliver within deadlines while managing client expectations.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; able to work independently under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in asset servicing functions.
  • Knowledge of IBOR accounting and support functions.
  • Demonstrable skills in developing effective relationships with internal teams and clients.
