The Vice President, Brooklyn & Queens, is responsible for managing the oversight, development, and direct management of commercial and industrial real estate assets located within the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens. The portfolio includes Downtown Brooklyn Metrotech; Atlantic Center; Coney Island Amusement Parks, Childs Building & Amphitheater; Kaufman Astoria Studios; Bedford Union Armory; East New York Industrial Building; other mixed use and industrial sites; and upcoming mixed-use activations in Willets Point. The VP, along with an Assistant Vice President direct report, manages the project goals for assets within the portfolio, including relationship management, leasing, redevelopment planning, and financial optimization for the portfolio. This is a strategic position, reporting directly to the Vice President, Executive Director for Commercial & Industrial – Brooklyn, Queens & Staten Island, with significant interface with NYCEDC’s President’s Office, and demands a dynamic and strategic leader experienced in managing, optimizing, and leading and optimizing large, diverse real estate portfolios, including through development and repositioning. The portfolio encompasses traditional leasing, land-use initiatives, workforce programs, and innovative sustainability efforts aimed at creating jobs, promoting the green economy, and supporting economic growth in Brooklyn and Queens. The VP will navigate multifaceted stakeholder environments, driving operational excellence, and leading transformative projects that will have a lasting impact on New York City.
