Responsibilities

• Assist the veterinarian with routine patient appointments and surgical procedures.
• Collect and process samples for diagnostics and preserve laboratory samples for offsite testing.
• Prepare appointment and treatment rooms, administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.
• Record patient medical history and maintain inventories of pharmaceuticals and equipment.
• Take radiographs and perform routine ultrasonic dental prophy.
• Dress and suture wounds, apply splints, and perform various medical procedures.
• Maintain, sterilize, and store all instruments and equipment.
• Contribute to the cleanliness of the center and adherence to company standards.
• Support a positive working environment and assist in onboarding new employees.
• Communicate with clients about preventive health care and promote center services.

Requirements

• Veterinary technician licensure preferred.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience required.
• Excellent client communication skills.
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs and tolerate strong smells and noisy environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a client-centric focus.
• Interest in using technology to enhance veterinary practice.
• Collaborative nature and ability to learn quickly.
• Fear Free and HABRI certification or desire to become certified.
