About the position

Responsibilities
- Supervise the care/services provided by LPNs, Certified Nursing Assistants, and other team members caring for residents.
- Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, ensuring appropriate staff assignments for each resident.
- Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to residents.
- Assess the health of residents, notify physicians of changes in status, and implement new orders promptly.
- Develop a plan of care based on assessments and implement nursing care accordingly.
- Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize residents' conditions and prevent complications.
- Contribute to the resident's assessment (MDS/CAA's) and the development of a plan of care.
Requirements
- ADN or BSN degree in nursing.
- Demonstrates knowledge of basic nursing practice with an interest in gerontological nursing.
- Must have a current state license to practice as a registered nurse (RN).
- Current CPR certification.
Nice-to-haves
- Preferably 2 years' experience in a long-term care setting.
- Additional certification in a nursing specialty is desired.
