About the position

The Vehicle Sales Representative (VSR) serves as the frontline Sales Agent for Vehicle Sales at Ryder, responsible for collaborating with various functional groups to meet sales projections and enhance customer service. This full-time position involves executing marketing plans, managing vehicle inventory, and ensuring compliance with legal and company standards while maximizing sales and customer retention.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the frontline Sales Representative for Vehicle Sales, engaging with customers in person, online, and via phone.
  • Execute the UTC's marketing plan, including product selection for marketing campaigns and coordinating outbound marketing efforts.
  • Maintain the accuracy and content of the Lead Tracker database to measure marketing effectiveness.
  • Understand the used vehicle marketplace and local competitors to inform sales strategies.
  • Cover for the Vehicle Sales Manager (VSM) at their location and others as needed.
  • Structure and sell ancillary products such as Finance and Extended Warranty to meet customer needs.
  • Develop and expand relationships with existing customers to ensure retention levels are met and exceeded.
  • Manage the UTC website for content and data accuracy, providing feedback for development.
  • Accountable for vehicle inventory movement and security within the UTC's area of operations.
  • Perform weekly yard checks and maintain vehicle quality and appearance.
  • Manage unit files and sales recording systems, including legal sale documents and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 to 3 years of sales and/or customer service experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High energy, self-motivated, and self-directed with excellent time management skills.
