About the position

The VAT Analyst position at Base One Technologies involves conducting research on current threats and vulnerabilities, authoring security advisories, and managing enterprise vulnerability compliance. The role requires performing vulnerability assessments of IT systems and is primarily off-site or hybrid based in Ashburn, Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Perform research on current threats and vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Minimum of current Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in incident detection and response, malware analysis, or cyber forensics.
• Minimum of five (5) years of specialized experience in Vulnerability Assessment, Intrusion Prevention and Detection, Policy Enforcement, Access Control and Authorization, Application Security, Protocol Analysis, Firewall Management, Incident Response, Encryption, Web-filtering, and Advanced Threat Protection.
• Extensive experience working with various security methodologies and processes.
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP protocols.
• Experience configuring and implementing various technical security solutions.
• Extensive experience providing analysis and trending of security log data from a large number of heterogeneous security devices.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in cyber government and/or federal law enforcement.
• Experience with Cyber Kill Chain.
