About the position
The Rialto Unified School District is seeking a Varsity Head Coach for Volleyball. The mission of the district is to connect students to their aspirations for the future, ensuring each student achieves personal and career fulfillment within a global society. The district emphasizes high expectations for student achievement, safe and engaging learning environments, effective family and community involvement, and appreciation of universal diversity. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to developing and sustaining a positive, winning tradition in the sport of volleyball, while serving as a positive role model for student athletes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the varsity volleyball team.
- Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
- Foster a positive team culture and environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and athletic booster clubs.
- Ensure compliance with CIF regulations and district policies.
- Promote good sportsmanship and academic excellence among athletes.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of head coaching experience in Volleyball at the high school, college, club, or recreational level within the last seven (7) years.
- A verifiable record of having been part of a winning tradition, including postseason C.I.F. playoff competition as a coach.
- A proven record of positive relationships with staff, students, and administration.
- Ability to emphasize good sportsmanship, academic excellence, and positive attitudes.
- Demonstrated ability to work with parents and athletic booster clubs.
- Commitment to holding all students and adults associated with the program to high standards.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in coaching at multiple levels (high school, college, club).
- Previous involvement in community engagement related to sports.
Benefits
- Stipend of $5,047.00 for the full season based on the current salary schedule.
