About the position

The position involves the upkeep of a fleet of over 40 guest rental vans. The role requires comfort working outside and around animals, although unsupervised interaction with wild animals is not required. The employee may need to work near animals and exhibits while performing tasks related to the vans or retrieving them from the Drive-Thru Safari.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean the fleet of guest rental vans.
• Ensure all rental vans are cleaned, gassed up, inspected, and ready for use before park opening.
• Clean and inspect vans after each rental.
• Perform light preventative maintenance on the vans.
• Assist in parking lot duties and light general maintenance as needed.
• Help with landscaping and cleaning of park restrooms when required.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test after an offer of employment is made.
• Hold a valid Driver's License.
• Full-time applicants must be able to work varied shifts, weekends, and/or holidays, 32-40 hours a week.
• Part-time applicants must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week and be available on weekends.
• General knowledge of the operation of passenger vans is helpful; light mechanical aptitude is also beneficial.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
