About the position

The Valve Technician role involves disassembling, assembling, testing, and painting frac valves. The position requires adherence to safety and quality standards while performing various mechanical tasks related to valve maintenance and assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and regulations.
  • Disassemble large and small bore gate valves per procedure.
  • Assemble large and small bore gate valves per procedure.
  • Inspect, operate and test completed products to verify functioning and conformance to requirements.
  • Position and/or align components for assembly, manually or using hoists.
  • Torque connections using manual and hydraulic torque wrenches.
  • Adjust, repair, rework, or replace parts and assemblies to eliminate malfunctions and to ensure proper operation.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings or standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain and lubricate parts or components.
  • Perform other regular duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of wellhead and frac rental equipment preferred.
