About the position

The UTSI Summer Research Intern Program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to engage in research projects under the supervision of UTSI professors. Interns will work on long-term research assignments, culminating in final reports and presentations. The program also includes educational opportunities such as engineering seminars and career discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Complete a long-term research project over the summer.
  • Summarize research findings in individual final reports.
  • Present research findings in short presentations.
  • Participate in engineering seminars and career panel discussions.

Requirements

  • Must be an undergraduate student majoring in physics, chemistry, material science, computer science, mathematics, or any branch of engineering.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Interest in attending graduate school at UTSI.
  • Enthusiasm for research and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • U.S. citizenship may be required depending on funding sources.
  • Must be authorized and eligible for employment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in research or related projects.
  • Strong communication skills.
