About the position
The Utility Operator-Compound position at IPEX involves supporting blending, pelletizing, and grinding operations in the Compounding Department. The role focuses on material handling, housekeeping, and assisting with various operational tasks while ensuring safety, product quality, and production output to meet plant goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide support with blending, pelletizing, and grinding operations in the Compounding Department.
- Perform general housekeeping and 5S activities within the department.
- Document forklift start-up procedures and operate material handling equipment.
- Organize and manage material pallets within the racking system.
- Load and unload materials from delivery trucks.
- Handle and stack various materials including Gaylords and super sacks.
- Notify Supervisor of any non-conformance or unknown conditions and assist in corrective actions.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Completion of high school education or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and perform advanced mathematics.
- Licensed to operate forklift truck, pallet truck, and other material handling equipment.
- Understanding of ANSI/ASQC A9002 procedures and instructions.
- Ability to use basic hand tools.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
