About The Position

This full-time position operates various woodworking machinery to produce furniture components. The role involves setting up and operating machines, ensuring safety and quality, and performing other related duties as assigned. The operator must be able to read and interpret shop orders and patterns, use measuring tools, and lift materials.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous machine operating experience.
  • Ability to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull, and bend over the course of 8 hours.
  • Ability to work in noisy environments.
  • Ability to pick up and load stock onto pallets.
  • Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 30 lbs.; up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Answer questions from co-workers regarding the product or sets and assist as needed.
  • Set up and operate a Hauncher and a Mortice Tenon.
  • Check co-workers' set-ups for safety and quality.
  • Make parts from shop orders and/or patterns.
  • Set up and operate an inverted router and router.
  • Set up and operate the CNC trim and bore and the Richardson trim and bore, and multiple boring machines.
  • Set up and operate the bandsaw and variety saw.
  • Set up and operate the profile shaper, Bell 100 and Bell 24.
  • Use a tape measure to verify measurements on wood.
  • Set up and run a planer, wide belt sander, and a rip saw.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
