This position requires a proactive approach to cleanliness and attention to detail, ensuring that all areas meet the high standards expected at Bellagio. In the day-to-day operations, the Utility Houseperson will utilize specialized cleaning equipment such as bonnet machines, extraction tools, and furniture cleaning machines to effectively remove stains and maintain the quality of furnishings. The role involves performing bonnet cleaning for up to 25 rooms and shampooing for 15 rooms daily, as well as handling the cleaning of biohazard areas when necessary. General cleaning duties will include thorough dusting of high and elevated areas, removing marks and dirt from baseboards, and ensuring that guest rooms and hallways are kept in pristine condition. Additionally, the Utility Houseperson will be responsible for delivering linens to various floors and replenishing supplies in Guest Room Attendant locker rooms. Reporting any maintenance issues, such as torn carpets or damaged furniture, is also a critical part of the job. Safety is paramount, and the Utility Houseperson must adhere to safety standards when installing and removing air purifiers and ozone machines. This role requires flexibility, as the Utility Houseperson must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the property and its guests.
