About the position
The Senior Associate - Test Lead in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) team at Commerce Payments plays a crucial role in executing the testing roadmap and ensuring the quality of payment services. This position involves collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to manage and report on testing defects, design test scripts, and validate test results, all while adhering to Agile project delivery methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate testing estimates within daily scrum calls.
- Document and execute test scenarios, identifying specific scenarios and writing test scripts using Business Driven Development (e.g., Gherkin).
- Partner closely with Operations, Product, and Technology groups.
- Monitor and report on testing defects and manage the re-testing process.
- Deputize the Test Manager in project calls and communicate with relevant colleagues.
- Validate and present test results for internal sign-off.
- Manage critical testing tasks accurately and to tight deadlines.
- Oversee Agile project delivery methodology and upskill with evolving methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with relevant experience or equivalent expertise in troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining Cucumber/Gherkin, Java, Selenium, or similar tools.
- Functional knowledge of the Payments domain and experience in testing processes to define requirements, document user stories, and execute tests.
- Experience with test automation tools for efficient E2E test execution.
- Strong organizational skills to manage critical testing tasks accurately and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to scope complex issues.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Business Driven Development/Test Driven Development methodologies.
- Advanced numeracy and Microsoft skills, including PowerPoint/Pitch Pro for creating professional presentations.
- Relevant testing experience within the Financial Services industry in a complex, high-volume environment.
