The primary role of the Used Car Sales Manager is to operationally manage and drive the success of the used car department through developing sales consultants, working with third party vendors and achieving monthly sales quotas. The position involves working directly with employees and customers to develop relationships and help bridge disconnects in the sales process, building rapport with customers to establish a base of referrals, providing training and support to the sales staff, managing all aspects of the sales department and inventory lot, purchasing vehicles for inventory, conducting trade appraisals, and tracking revenue logs. The Used Car Sales Manager is also responsible for partnering with third party vendors and the service department to complete internal service work on used vehicles, preparing and administering annual forecasts and budgets, and assisting the New Car Sales Manager when needed.
