About the position

As a Bakery Department Lead at Sam's Club, you will be responsible for driving sales and supervising a team of hourly associates in the Bakery department. Your role will involve ensuring that the department meets company standards for quality and compliance while delivering an exceptional shopping experience for members. You will collaborate with other team leaders and leverage digital tools to enhance operational efficiency and team engagement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Bakery department team to achieve business goals and ensure member satisfaction.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of bakery operations, product specifications, and compliance standards.
• Utilize digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience.
• Ensure operational excellence by maintaining a clean and safe work area and accurate inventory management.
• Identify training needs and develop team members' skills to deliver high-quality products.
• Promote compliance with company policies and ethical standards.
• Coordinate and execute work assignments while providing support to team members.

Requirements

• 6 months experience in a bakery production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice-to-haves

• Bakery production experience including decorating.
• Supervising Associates experience.
• Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
