Responsibilities

  • Drives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation.
  • Assesses economic trends and community needs.
  • Oversees the stocking and rotation of merchandise.
  • Sets up, cleans, and organizes product displays.
  • Secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
  • Leads and develops teams by teaching and training associates.
  • Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations.
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards.
  • Manages and supports customer service initiatives.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates.
  • Controls unexplained loss of merchandise and improves profitability.
  • Conducts operational and pre-inventory reviews.
  • Trains managers and associates on operational controls and processes.
  • Detects, deters, investigates, and resolves violations of company policies.
  • Monitors safety and risk controls within a facility.
  • Manages facility-level training and execution of asset protection and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Completion of 2 years of college.
  • 1 year's experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment.
  • 1 year's experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment.
  • 2 years' experience in asset protection or related area.
  • Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection.
  • Acquisition of a current, state issued Certificate of Eligibility (if applicable).
  • Successful completion of criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training (if applicable).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership.
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership.
  • Certification in an asset protection related field.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports.
  • Investigative experience.
  • Bachelors in Business or Criminal Justice.
