About The Position

The urologist is responsible for providing medical and surgical urologic care to patients. Physicians follow federal/state laws and regulations to ensure excellent patient care. In this role, the urologist will be responsible for the evaluation and management of patients with urological disorders through office and hospital consultations and surgical procedures. Effective communication with other physicians, staff, and patients is crucial in this position to ensure that patient needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

  • Current DEA License
  • Current California Physician License
  • Current California Fluoroscopy and Xray Supervisor certification
  • Candidates must be board-certified/eligible in Urology
  • Completion of a residency program in urology
  • Hold a California license or be eligible for licensure
  • Meet the hospital’s medical staff credentialing standards

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose or treat diseases or disorders of genitourinary organs including BPH, urologic cancers, urinary stones, erectile dysfunction, incontinence
  • Order and interpret the results of diagnostic tests such as laboratory testing, genomic markers, imaging studies
  • Perform abdominal, pelvic, or retroperitoneal surgeries including robotic surgery, endourologic surgery, and open surgery
