Urgent Care Physician (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Background Required))

About the position

MRPG is looking for board certified or board eligible physicians to join our team to support our Urgent Care practices, with locations in Medway, Franklin, Hopkinton, Milford, and Northbridge. Weekdays shifts are 12 hours in length (8am-8pm), and weekend shifts are 8 hours in length (9am-5pm). Our Urgent Care offices are staffed with two providers on every shift and they are supported with dedicated medical assistant and front desk coverage. Our providers see an average volume of 25-35 patients per 12-hour shift, and document their encounters in EPIC (our electronic medical record). We have lab draws and x-ray services available at all of our Urgent Care locations and a strong connection with our system's local emergency room.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care services to patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Document patient encounters using EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with medical assistants and front desk staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Manage high-risk patients with support from nurses, social workers, and behavioral health specialists.
• Participate in teaching opportunities with medical students and residents.

Requirements

• Must be board certified or board eligible in internal medicine or family medicine.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is preferred.
