About the position

The Upper Extremities Sales Associate will partner closely with Sales Representative(s) in the area to quickly learn the medical device industry and Upper Extremities business, and then contribute to the growth of that business in the assigned territory. He/she will partner with the Sales Rep(s) in all aspects of the sales call pattern, including but not limited to, covering cases in the assigned territory, marketing and promotion of the products in the assigned accounts, building of sets, managing inventory, and, as they learn and grow, beginning to convert customers to Stryker. The role requires attending surgeries in which Stryker Upper Extremities products are used, ensuring all products are available for surgeon use in each case and instructing surgeons regarding product use and functionality. Additionally, the associate will educate and inform doctors, nurses, and appropriate staff personnel about the proper use and maintenance of Stryker products, product functionality and updates, changes to product portfolio, and educational programs. The position also involves working with sales teams to contact customers to identify sales opportunities, deliver excellent customer service, and further develop customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Sales Representative(s) to learn the medical device industry and contribute to business growth.
  • Attend surgeries to ensure product availability and instruct surgeons on product use.
  • Educate doctors, nurses, and staff on Stryker products and updates.
  • Work with sales teams to identify sales opportunities and develop customer relationships.
  • Tailor promotional messages based on customer knowledge and advise on product selection.
  • Perform field calls for assigned accounts and territory.
  • Assist in implementing new sales plans and marketing strategies.
  • Serve as the primary backup contact for Sales Representative(s).
  • Assist in resolving problems or questions in accounts.
  • Partner with Sales Rep(s) on inventory management and building proper inventory levels.
  • Assist in acquiring and processing Customer Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Market the product line based on knowledge of functionality and features.
  • Participate in sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours.
  • Adhere to compliance and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR
  • Associate's degree or Medical Certification (i.e. CST, PT, CPT, etc.) + at least 2 years of professional and/or related experience
  • High School Diploma + at least 4 years of professional and/or related experience
  • 4+ years of active duty military service

  • Base/Draw + commission: $70,000.00 - $82,000.00/year and may be eligible to earn commission and/or bonuses + benefits.
