About the position
Jackson Purchase Medical Center is seeking a full-time Gastroenterologist to join its well-established GI Services team. The role involves working collaboratively with two advanced GI colleagues and support staff to provide comprehensive gastrointestinal care to the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide gastrointestinal care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Collaborate with advanced GI colleagues and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in hospital management and support services as needed.
- Engage in continuing medical education (CME) activities to maintain and enhance professional skills.
- Assist in the development and implementation of GI services within the hospital.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with a focus on Gastroenterology.
- Completion of residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology.
- Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with advanced GI procedures and technologies.
