Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service in accordance with Sturm Financial Group's Mission, Vision, Values.
  • Open accounts, handle cash and various financial transactions, sell/cross-sell bank products and services, assist customers with their banking needs, and resolve customer service issues while complying with regulatory requirements.
  • Accountable for sales and service activities for assigned branch locations.
  • Proactively seek new customers through marketing and prospecting.
  • Process paying/receiving transactions and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Cash checks within assigned limits and stated guidelines.
  • Responsible for daily cash settlements of cash and proof transactions.
  • Balance cash drawer.
  • Open checking, savings, money market and certificates of deposit accounts. Order check and ATM/Debit cards and provide starter checks for new accounts.
  • Understand and effectively apply selling techniques to open, develop, and close sales; create product interest; actively cross-sell products/services; actively pursue potential customers, both on and off Bank property.
  • Identify customer's financial needs through in-person efforts, cold calls, referrals, and marketing, while providing strong product knowledge and quality service excellence.
  • Display sufficient knowledge in explaining, selling, and administering products; refer customers to appropriate resources within the organization.
  • Actively seek to understand customers' complete financial services needs and recommend products and services based on those needs, including performing customer follow up actions as outlined in the ANB C.A.R.E.S Client Onboarding procedure.
  • Identify cross-sell and referral opportunities to broaden customer banking relationships.
  • Respond to customer needs and priorities; establish effective working relationships with customers; identify and take appropriate action on customer needs.
  • Provide efficient and courteous customer service, researching problems and implementing appropriate resolution.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and objectives.
  • Deliver the quality of service as defined by department and company standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality as defined by department and company standards.
  • Maintain a current knowledge and consistent compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements, as well as knowledge and consistent compliance with other banking regulations and Bank policies and procedures related to the position.
  • Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  • Support the company's Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • No experience required.
  • Previous customer service or cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic knowledge of banking products, services, and regulations preferred.
