About the position
The Universal Associate (UA) position at Capital City Bank is designed to provide prompt, efficient, and friendly service to clients, assisting them with their banking needs. This role encompasses both teller and personal banker responsibilities, including introducing clients to banking technology, providing information about bank products and services, and identifying opportunities to meet clients' financial goals. The UA must adhere to established policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and discretion with client information.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and friendly service to clients.
- Assist clients with their banking needs, including technology introductions.
- Cross-sell bank products and services to meet client needs.
- Process consumer and commercial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
- Maintain cash security and balance cash drawer daily.
- Respond to client questions and concerns courteously and efficiently.
- Educate clients on ID fraud and phishing scams.
- Follow procedures for opening and closing the office and responding to emergencies.
- Enter and maintain client information in the bank's systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of experience in client service, sales, and cash handling.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic math skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods and perform repetitive motions.
Nice-to-haves
- Sales, retail, or referral experience, particularly in cross-marketing products and services.
- Familiarity with Capital City Bank products and services.
