About The Position
Tennessee State Veterans Home – Murfreesboro is looking for a Unit Manager - RN Full-Time/Day Shift with alternating 8 and 12 hour shifts. This role involves supervising staffing for the nursing department, overseeing and coordinating nursing staff, assisting the Director of Nursing with assessing resident needs, and implementing appropriate actions for treatment and care. The Nurse Manager RN will work as part of the nursing team to assess resident needs, plan and modify care, and implement interventions. The Unit Manager RN is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality patient care, providing guidance and support to the nursing team, and maintaining compliance with all regulations and protocols. Requirements
- Current & active RN License
- Proven experience working as a Registered Nurse in a healthcare or nursing home setting with management and supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate effectively
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including assigning tasks and evaluating performance
- Ensure that all patient care plans are followed and that documentation is accurate and complete
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes
- Monitor inventory levels of medications and supplies, and reorder as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with all regulations
