About The Position

Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist at AHMC - Alice Hyde Medical Center, located at 133 Park Street, Malone, New York. This position is in the AHMC - Radiology Department. It is a per diem role with no committed hours and is not benefit eligible. The standard hours are 0 biweekly, with shifts typically being Day/Eve-8Hr. Weekend needs are as scheduled.

Requirements

• Must be registered by RDMS (Ab, OB or RVT) or pass the RDMS Registry within one year of meeting the eligibility requirements.
• Sufficient sensitivity and interpersonal skills in dealing with apprehensive patients and family in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Positive and effective communication skills for interaction with physicians and staff in any situation.
• Ability to think and act quickly to deliver efficient quality care in a variety of stressful situations.
• Must be BLS certified (or obtained within 3 months).

Nice To Haves

• Eligibility requirements will be reviewed by employee and manager/supervisor.
• In the event that an employee has unsuccessfully attempted to become registered within the required timeframe, the employee is granted a six-month extension to become registered/credentialed.

• Maintain certification and competency on the high-level disinfection system (Trophon).
