About The Position

Fairview is seeking a skilled and motivated Ultrasound Technologist to join their dynamic vascular team. This position is based at the Fairview Vascular Clinic in Edina, MN, and offers variety and collaboration by supporting care across multiple locations: Fairview Vascular Clinic – Edina, Vein Clinic – Edina, and Vein Clinic – Maple Grove. The Ultrasound Technologist-Clinic functions independently, providing high-quality diagnostic imaging and age-appropriate patient care according to established standards. They work collaboratively with the health care team and are responsible for adhering to all policy, procedure, and regulatory agency requirements (RDMS).

Requirements

ARDMS registered in one specialty or ARRT RT (S) registered within 90 Days
RVT within 6 months
Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Performs examinations with technical accuracy and in a timely manner
Verifies patient identification and documentation
Reviews physician order prior to exam or procedure
Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
Communicates with and educates patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
Recognizes structures visualized and understands their significance
Accurately produces and records measurements according to protocols
Accurately conveys initial findings and clinical data to referring physicians and/or radiologists
Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness for facility
Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures
