About the position
The Ultrasound Technician at Mercy Medical Center is responsible for performing ultrasound exams with a focus on producing high-quality technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation. This role involves patient positioning, equipment operation, and the processing and transmission of images to the PACS system. The position requires a commitment to maintaining certifications and ensuring proficiency in ultrasound technology.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competency in performing all ultrasound exams.
- Ensure proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation.
- Position patients and equipment appropriately to produce recordings.
- Process and transmit images to PACS.
Requirements
- RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire and maintain.
- Graduate from an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire.
- Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current.
- Proficient computer skills.

- Previous experience preferred.
