About the position

Asante's imaging experts go above and beyond. All our technicians are highly trained, exceeding state requirements with advanced certifications in MRI, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and bone density scanning. Our imaging program is supervised by a board-certified radiologist who works directly with technicians at the hospital to interpret test results and offer guidance on complex cases. The Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer performs a variety of specialized ultrasonic procedures while assisting physicians in patient diagnosis and various ultrasound-guided surgical procedures. As the Sonographer at Asante, you will have the opportunity to work with a cohesive team to provide quality healthcare using state-of-the-art ultrasound technology, build relationships with physicians and medical staff to provide quality results, and work in an accredited General Ultrasound Department.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of specialized ultrasonic procedures.
  • Assist physicians in patient diagnosis and various ultrasound-guided surgical procedures.
  • Work with a cohesive team to provide quality healthcare using state-of-the-art ultrasound technology.
  • Build relationships with physicians and medical staff to provide quality results.

Requirements

  • BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start.
  • ARDMS: American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in the specialties of Abdomen (Abd) and Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/Gyn) is preferred.
  • Licensed in Sonography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with subspecialty as an RDMS in Abd and OB/Gyn is preferred.
  • A temporary license is required for new hires.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's degree in related field.
  • License from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or the Cardiovascular Credentialing International in Vascular Ultrasound.
  • License in Sonography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with sub-specialty as a Registered Vascular Technologist.
  • RMSKS: Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
