About the position
Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is set to open in early 2025 as the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in over 20 years. This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, including The George Washington University Hospital and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8, establishing a robust system of care for all District residents. The facility will feature 136 beds (expandable to 184), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery services, an ambulatory pavilion, a community space, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transports. We are seeking an Ultrasound Lead Technologist who will report to the designated leader within the Imaging Department. The Lead Technologist will administer sound patient care practices according to department and hospital policies, perform clinical diagnostic imaging, assist with staff orientation and training, and help achieve departmental goals and metrics.
Responsibilities
- Administer sound patient care practices according to department and hospital policies/procedures.
- Perform clinical diagnostic images.
- Assist with orienting staff and training students.
- Help obtain all accreditation certificates.
- Support departmental goals and metrics.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification through the American Heart Association.
- Active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)(ARDMS) license.
- Certification in General, Vascular and OBGYN preferred.
- Minimum one-year of previous leadership experience as a registered Sonographer required, acute care experience preferred.
