Turquoise Ridge - Underground Fixed Maintenance Operator

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Fixed Maintenance Technician at our Turquoise Ridge operations. The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance and repair of both surface and underground mining equipment such as crushers, conveyors, hoists, etc. At Nevada Gold Mines, our vision is to be the world's most valued gold mining business by finding, developing, and operating the best assets with the best people. Responsibilities

• Conduct work area exams for assigned area(s) to identify substandard conditions that may pose a danger to personnel and take necessary steps to correct identified substandard conditions and document all noted conditions not corrected by the end of shift
• Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify conditions or defects that may impact employee safety, environmental compliance, property damage or reliability of equipment and take necessary steps to mitigate defects
• Conduct detailed equipment inspections as assigned, document deficiencies and generate work requests
• Ensure all sampling is conducted at designated intervals, accurately processed, and results documented as defined by procedure
• Operate plants safely and efficiently to meet operational targets
• Understand equipment fundamentals to properly execute LOTO, & trouble shooting actions as required
• Work with team members to effectively and efficiently complete preventative maintenance tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, including working in hot or cold weather conditions required
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision required
• Proven safety and attendance record required
• Knowledge of underground fixed plant equipment operation preferred
• The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role
