Trucking Logistics Account Manager (Sales-Oriented)

About the position

America Chung Nam is seeking a Logistics Sales professional to develop and onboard U.S. customers for LTL, FTL, and drayage services. The role involves negotiating with transportation providers to secure the best rates and service, building carrier capacity through strong relationships, and ensuring timely tracking and documentation of shipments. The successful candidate will provide shipment capacity forecasts, offer logistics solutions and freight quotations, and ensure service levels are met while driving continuous improvement processes to lower operational costs. Additionally, the role includes reviewing invoices and communicating with buyers regarding trucking needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and onboard U.S. customers for LTL, FTL and drayage
• Negotiate with transportation providers to obtain the best rates and service
• Build carrier capacity by establishing and strengthening carrier relationships
• Thoroughly track and document all shipments assigned with timeliness and attention to detail
• Provide shipment capacity forecasts to carriers and freight forwarders
• Provide spot logistics solutions and freight quotations to internal customers as needed
• Ensure the agreed service levels are met, driving correction actions where necessary
• Lead efforts to identify and implement continuous improvement processes that result in lower operational costs
• Review and verify invoices per service agreements and transportation schedules
• Communicate with buyers and buyer assistants in trucking needs

Requirements

• 3-5 years of working experience in Logistics Sales and Trucking
• 4-year college degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confident and results oriented
• Positive 'Can-do' attitude
• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Be able to adapt to fast-paced working environment

Benefits

• Pay is between $75K-$82K/year
• Discretionary year-end bonus
