About the position
America Chung Nam is seeking a dedicated Logistics Sales professional to develop and onboard U.S. customers for LTL, FTL, and drayage services. The successful candidate will negotiate with transportation providers to secure the best rates and service, while building and strengthening relationships with carriers. This role requires meticulous tracking and documentation of all assigned shipments, as well as providing shipment capacity forecasts to carriers and freight forwarders. The candidate will also be responsible for providing spot logistics solutions and freight quotations to internal customers, ensuring that agreed service levels are met, and driving corrective actions when necessary. Additionally, the role involves leading efforts to identify and implement continuous improvement processes aimed at reducing operational costs, reviewing and verifying invoices per service agreements, and communicating effectively with buyers and buyer assistants regarding trucking needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and onboard U.S. customers for LTL, FTL and drayage
- Negotiate with transportation providers to obtain the best rates and service
- Build carrier capacity by establishing and strengthening carrier relationships
- Thoroughly track and document all shipments assigned with timeliness and attention to detail
- Provide shipment capacity forecasts to carriers and freight forwarders
- Provide spot logistics solutions and freight quotations to internal customers as needed
- Ensure the agreed service levels are met, drive correction actions where necessary
- Lead efforts to identify and implement continuous improvement processes that result in lower operational costs
- Review and verify invoices per service agreements and transportation schedules
- Communicate with buyers and buyer assistants in trucking needs
Requirements
- 3-5 years of working experience in Logistics Sales and Trucking
- 4-year college degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confident and results oriented
- Positive 'Can-do' attitude
- Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Be able to adapt to fast-paced working environment
Benefits
- Pay is between $75K-$82K/year
