About the position

Core-Mark is seeking dedicated Food and Food Service Delivery Drivers to play a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our drivers ensure that customers' products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition, while also building lasting relationships with our customers. This position offers home daily schedules with weekends off, starting at 4:00 AM, and a competitive pay rate of $29.00 per hour. Responsibilities

• Drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck on local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight routes to deliver food and food-related products.
• Perform all required safety checks including inspections of the tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations.
• Report all safety issues and/or repairs required, following all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight and perform count checks of items and check customer invoices.
• Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.
• Unload products from the trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
• Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures, collecting money where required.
• Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor and loading dock area, keeping trailers clear and clean as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 6+ months CMV driving experience
• Valid Arizona CDL A license
• Must be 21+ years of age
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card
• Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight.

Nice-to-haves

• 6+ months delivery experience in a commercial vehicle
• 1+ years foodservice distribution industry experience
• Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e., PeopleNet)
• Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e., POD)
• Customer service-related work experience
