About the position

Trinidad Benham Corp is seeking a full-time Truck Driver with a valid Class A CDL to join our Bulk Operations department in Colgate, ND. The position involves using semi-trucks to transport products between locations and to customers, with responsibilities including loading and unloading trucks, conducting inspections, and maintaining logs. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, with potential variations during harvest season. A sign-on bonus of $1,500 is offered, and relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities

  • Transfers trailers between facilities in truck.
  • Operates yard truck to position trailers to appropriate loading/unloading docks as requested by shipping and receiving departments.
  • Performs daily yard truck and trailer inspections prior to use.
  • Observes and reports equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
  • Maintains accurate logs for all trailers on the yard.
  • Operates a forklift within the plant during non-driving time when loading/unloading trucks or rail cars.
  • Assists with other duties when the truck is not in operation.
  • Conducts daily inspections of the vehicles at the end of the shift and reports any problems or damages to management.
  • Safely and efficiently operates forklift; performs required daily inspections.
  • Reads and understands Bills of Lading and Pick Sheet.
  • Uses daily pick sheet to pick full and partial pallets, wraps pallets when necessary, stages product for loading, checks pallets for accuracy to order.
  • Maintains clean and organized aisles and rack storage, consolidates partial pallets when needed.
  • Inventories product as needed; labels, sorts, wraps and ties product.
  • Communicates with management and maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs.
  • Complies with company safety policies and maintains clean and orderly work area.
  • Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
