About the position

Berman & Simmons, P.A seeks an Associate Attorney to join a team of lead Trial Attorneys, focusing on personal injury, sex abuse survivor, and medical malpractice cases. The role emphasizes research, analysis, and writing, with a strong interest in tort law and trial practice. Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis on personal injury, sex abuse survivor, and medical malpractice cases.
• Draft legal documents, including written discovery and motions.
• Prepare for mediations, hearings, and trials alongside lead Trial Attorneys.
• Engage in client contact and maintain communication regarding case progress.
• Take and defend depositions, work with expert witnesses, and participate in court proceedings as needed.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 1-3 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in personal injury or related fields.
• Strong research and writing skills with excellent academic credentials.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a legal team.
