About the position

The Treasury Analyst at Petco plays a crucial role in managing corporate cash activity and ensuring accurate treasury transactions. This position supports the Sr. Treasury Manager by maintaining treasury procedures, managing cash flow forecasts, and ensuring timely execution of electronic fund transfers. The analyst will also interact with banking software and provide insights on treasury activities to accounting management, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sr. Treasury Manager in managing corporate cash activity.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant accounting literature, including US GAAP and IFRS.
• Update and maintain treasury procedure and control documents.
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of treasury transactions via banking websites.
• Attend banking training classes and interact with users of banking software.
• Provide input on the direction of the treasury team and organize efficient work processes.
• Identify and communicate issues related to treasury activities.
• Prepare accurate financial projections for assigned accounts and maintain daily cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure electronic fund transfers and cash management activities are executed timely and accurately.
• Serve as a point of contact for banking questions and assist with store depository issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or comparable work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
