About the position
The Traveling Underground Construction Supervisor at Kanaan Communications, LLC is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of telecommunications construction crews. This role involves ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and safety of installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment while providing direct supervision and guidance to the crew. The position requires extensive travel to various locations including Omaha, Chicago, Elkhart, Toledo, and Cleveland, making it essential for the supervisor to maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders involved in the projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment.
- Supervise day-to-day activities and project progress, ensuring compliance with project deliverables.
- Ensure excellent communication with employees, contractors, vendors, and customers.
- Identify and address project issues and risks, developing response plans as necessary.
- Understand current and future business goals and ongoing issues.
- Implement and maintain processes to assist in task completion.
Requirements
- Prior supervisory experience in a related field.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
- 1 or more years of project management experience including planning and organizing tasks.
- Good working knowledge of telecommunications construction and related equipment.
