About the position
This is an entry-level position and is a great way to gain skills to start a career in the medical, addiction services, law enforcement, or emergency services field and a great opportunity for you as you will be working with those struggling with addiction. Averhealth is currently looking for a Male Drug Screening Representative for our Radford, Giles, and Floyd VA testing locations. This position is part-time working under 20 hours per week and requires travel between locations. As a Drug Screening Representative, you will be working in a Patient Care Center performing an observed collection of urine samples from our patients. You will be responsible for checking in patients, performing the observed collection, shipping the samples to our lab, ensuring that the center remains clean and that our patients are served with respect and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Perform observed collection of urine samples from patients.
- Check in patients and ensure proper documentation.
- Ship samples to the lab for testing.
- Maintain cleanliness of the center.
- Serve patients with respect and dignity.
Requirements
- Must be available 7 days per week.
- Ability to travel between Radford, Giles, and Floyd VA locations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting (minimum of 10 lbs), walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to use computer and general office equipment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in medical or addiction services.
- Previous customer service experience.
