Responsibilities

• Perform various therapeutic procedures including advanced practice procedures such as operating balloon pumps and working in NICU.
• Participate in orientation of staff and student training programs.
• Provide professional leadership in the delivery of patient care.
• Use AIDET principles when interfacing with patients.
• Maintain confidentiality of information according to HIPAA guidelines.
• Ensure treatments are provided in accordance with physician orders and approved medical protocols.
• Suggest changes in therapies based on clinical assessment of patient situations.
• Maintain safe respiratory therapy practices and alert management of any safety issues.

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist with a valid license in the state of New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
• Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations.
• Ability to complete orientation and training.

Nice-to-haves

• EPIC experience preferred.
• Experience with Sleep Apnea.
