About the position
As a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you will provide essential care for patients recovering from anesthesia after surgery. This role involves monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and ensuring a smooth transition from the operating room to the recovery room, making it critical for patient recovery and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and monitoring patients' condition post-surgery
- Administering medications as needed
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
- Educating patients and their families on postoperative care instructions
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of PACU nursing experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
