About the position
The Operating Room (OR) Nurse will provide comprehensive care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role involves educating patients and collaborating with the surgical team, including circulating nurses, scrub nurses, and potentially RN first assistants or operating room directors. The position is designed for travel nurses seeking assignments across various locations, with compensation based on experience and location.
Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care to patients.
- Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures and recovery.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal care during surgery.
- Assist in the preparation of the operating room and surgical instruments.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes during surgery.
Requirements
- Current RN License required.
