About the position

The Rad Technologist position at Riverside Methodist Hospital is a critical role within a Level II trauma facility, requiring a dedicated professional to provide high-quality radiologic services. This position is designed for individuals who are not only skilled in radiography but also possess a strong background in operating room (OR) procedures, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort while adhering to the highest standards of care. As a Rad Technologist, you will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care. The role demands proficiency in using advanced imaging equipment, including Shimadzu with Konica and Fuji DR panels, GE OEC c-arms, and Siemens FL equipment. You will be expected to demonstrate expertise in various imaging modalities, particularly in trauma situations, and to maintain a thorough understanding of the protocols and procedures specific to the hospital's operations. The position requires a commitment to continuous learning and professional development, as you will be working with cutting-edge technology and participating in ongoing training to enhance your skills. The work schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts from 0700 to 1930, with a requirement to work every other weekend and holiday. Responsibilities

  • Perform radiologic procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain and operate imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
  • Document and report imaging results accurately and timely.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in radiologic technology.

Requirements

  • ARRT Certification required
  • BLS Certification required
  • ODH Ohio Radiologic License required
  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program
  • 2 years of experience in radiologic technology
  • Strong OR experience needed
  • Experience in Fluoroscopy, Portables, Level II Trauma, Endoscopy, IP/OP
  • Familiarity with Shimadzu with Konica and Fuji DR panel, GE OEC c-arm, Shimadzu and Siemens FL equipment
