About the position

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel Radiology Technician for a travel job in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. This position is designed for a qualified X-Ray Tech to join one of our top healthcare clients for a contract duration of 13 weeks, with a flexible start date of 10/28/2024. The role requires a commitment of 36 hours per week, with shifts lasting 12 hours. As a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, MedPro Healthcare Staffing is dedicated to providing quality staffing solutions in the healthcare sector. The primary responsibility of the X-Ray Tech is to obtain useful diagnostic details that assist doctors in determining further treatment for patients. This includes preparing patients for diagnostic imaging exams, producing x-ray films of various parts of the human body to diagnose medical issues such as cancer or fractures, and instructing patients on the appropriate positions to ensure accurate imaging. The technician must also ensure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations, delivering quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner. The role emphasizes maintaining a patient-focused environment that provides timely, compassionate, and quality care while promoting a safe work environment for both staff and customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain useful diagnostic details to assist doctors in treatment decisions.
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging exams.

Requirements

  • Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Valid state radiology registration as required by state law.
  • Two years of X-Ray Tech experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
  • Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
