About the position

The Travel Nurse (RN) Tele/Stepdown position involves providing nursing care in a telemetry and progressive care unit (PCU) setting. This role requires a registered nurse with specialized cardiac experience to float between various units as needed, ensuring high-quality patient care during night shifts. The position is full-time for a duration of 13 weeks, with a focus on telemetry and stepdown nursing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in telemetry and progressive care units.
• Float between different units as required by patient needs.
• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and care procedures.

Requirements

• Current Rhode Island RN License.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience.
• At least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system.
• Current certifications in PALS, ACLS, and BLS.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
