About the position
Coast Medical Service is looking for a skilled travel nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) to join their team in Gillette, Wyoming. This position is ideal for both experienced and first-time travelers, offering a 13-week contract with a focus on providing high-quality care in a critical care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in the NICU.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate families on care procedures and health management.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of Wyoming or compact state license.
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required.
- BLS and NRP certifications are mandatory.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with travel nursing is preferred.
- Additional certifications in pediatric care are a plus.
