About the position

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a long-term acute care setting.
  • Monitor patient health and administer medications as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in the state of Virginia or compact state license.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Long Term Acute Care or similar nursing specialty.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to a travel nursing schedule.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Previous travel nursing experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
