About the position

As a Travel Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at our facility in Moreno Valley, CA, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients with severe and life-threatening conditions. This position requires a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) who is capable of working in a fast-paced environment, managing complex patient needs, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will be responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs, administering medications, and implementing care plans tailored to each patient's unique situation. Your expertise will be essential in assessing patient conditions, recognizing changes, and responding promptly to emergencies. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts, from 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM, for a total of 36 hours per week over a 14-week contract period. You will be expected to adapt quickly to the specific protocols and procedures of the facility while maintaining the highest standards of nursing practice. This travel nursing position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in different healthcare settings, enhance your clinical skills, and contribute to the well-being of patients in critical care. Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
