About the position

The Travel Large Loss Property Adjuster plays a vital role in assessing property damages, estimating losses, and settling claims in accordance with customer policies. This position involves conducting on-site inspections, writing detailed damage estimates, and providing clear explanations of both the estimate and the policy to customers. The adjuster will utilize advanced video technology for virtual collaboration when not in the field, requiring strong communication skills, empathy, and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to loss sites and conduct thorough inspections of properties.
  • Handle claims virtually from home when not traveling.
  • Write accurate estimates to capture the extent of damages.
  • Settle claims promptly and fairly, adhering to customer policies.
  • Utilize advanced video technology for remote collaboration and estimating.
  • Review policies to determine coverage and provide detailed explanations to customers.
  • Communicate empathetically with customers, guiding them through the claim process.
  • Negotiate claim settlements in accordance with established methodologies.
  • Work in various environments, including independent and team settings, and virtual platforms.
  • Participate in online meetings and trainings, being on camera as required.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience writing water damage estimates preferred.
  • Proficiency in estimating software like Xactimate preferred.
  • Previous experience writing estimates $100,000+.
  • Strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work independently, starting from home, and travel to different locations.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a positive attitude toward challenges.
  • Excellent organization and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical capability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access roofs.
  • Have a valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingualism and/or prior military experience is a plus.
