The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position at Gifted Healthcare involves providing care to patients during labor and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mothers and newborns. The role includes monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and offering education and support to families. Responsibilities
- Monitor patients throughout labor and delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for family members during labor.
- Monitor baby's heart rate and provide immediate care to the newborn.
- Perform phlebotomy, basic IV, and central line procedures.
- Assess and record maternal vital signs throughout labor and post-partum stages.
- Administer pain medication and other medicines as ordered.
- Educate and support new mothers and families on infant care.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
- Knowledge of phlebotomy and IV procedures.
- Ability to assess and record vital signs accurately.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB).
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
